ELEVEN

         A book I would like to introduce is 'ELEVEN' written by Sandra Cisneros. This is about a girl who become eleven. Even you're eleven, sometimes you can't realize that. You might think you're still ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. Maybe sometimes you need mama to hug her when you're scared, that's the kind of you that's six. Oneday, Mrs. Price saw the sweater. She asked to the students, "Whose is this?". Everyone said, "Not mine". It was a ugly sweater with red plastic buttons and a collar and sleeves all stretched out. But, that stupid Sylvia Saldivar says, "I think it belongs to Rachel."It was not Rachel's, but any words didn't come out at her mouth. Mrs, Price put the sweater at Rachel's desk. She was so grudge about it. Everyone would undergo something unfair in life. I undergoed many things that are unfair, so I can understand Rachel's feeling. And I remebered about my action like 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 years old. Sometimes, I action like 3, or 7. But most of all I act like 11. It got me thinking in many ways by reading this story. I recommend this story to 5 grade students.

Eleven

This is a story about a kid named Rachel who had her 11th birthday. The meaning of a birthday is a date when you were born, which you celebrate each year. Even if you turn eleven you might still feel like 10,9,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 years old. Some times when your sad you might need your moms shoulder to cry on, that's when you would feel like 7. The story goes like this, one the Rachel's 11th birthday she went to the school. The teacher asked the students whom the filthy sweater belonged to. So that stupid Sylvia said that it was the Rachel's sweater, which wasn't. The teacher believed Sylvia and gave it o the kid but no words came out of the Rachel's mouth. Rachel was upset and gloomy that day. I think everybody would've felt like Rachel, some time in there lives. When ever they express there emotions (weather it's a happy feeling or a sad feeling) there would be a different part of our selves in me. Sometimes I would feel like 11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2 and 1 years old depending on your mood. I think the author wrote this story because every body has these kind of experiences, so the book would remind you(the readers) of your past. When I was reading this book I thought the writer wrote the kid's emotions in a creative way. readers who are reading this right now I recommend this book
